Yahoo is a leader in the widget space Latest Applications (191) to see what they offer (Yahoo is also a big PHP company)

widgetbox wiidgetizing the web also has a bunch (their site is orange and blue)

Good Storm capitalism done right is also a pretty cool site -- they use drupal -- and do custom stores

Zacker.org has a very cool "Screencast: Drupal Mashup Machine" -- very cool he uses Google Maps and crime data -- it was easy enough for me to get working.
