The Podcast Index is a new service being developed to preserve podcasting as a platform for free speech. Adam Curry and Dave Jones are working to get people involved in adding new functionality for podcasting to keep “indie” podcasting a viable alternative to growing centralization in the podiverse.

I have been listening to podcasts since the early days of the Daily Source Code and have about 30 active podcast feeds today on my phone.

I have been working on improving my programming skills using the API’s they provide to make a web app to listen to random episode soundbites and find podcasts I would never look for. I have an early version working here.

I have learned a lot using PHP and Svelte to build it.
